On Sep 16, 2016 ShamRose is organizing event called “Thank you Canada”.
In this event a big group of recently arrived Syrian refugees would like to thank Canada and their community for the great support and amazing welcome that they received from our KW citizens.
There will be a gathering from noon – 2 PM in front of Kitchener city hall where the refugees will be singing and holding Canadian flags and signs filled with sayings written on them ((With all Syrian languages we say thank you Canada)), which will cover 7000 years of history in Syria and its languages. Also the refugees will be serving Tim Horton coffee and donuts, plus homemade sweets that they can afford to bring, for free for our KW citizens who are attending the event or passing by in the street.
